A -The keyboard mechanism of a digital piano is different from that of an acoustic piano.
Unlike an acoustic piano, the weight of the keys is fixed and cannot be adjusted.
However, you can specify the Touch Sensitivity* (how the sound responds to your playing strength).
For example, produces relatively high volume even with light playing strength.
The setting method may vary depending on the model. Check the owner’s manual for your model.
Changing the Touch Sensitivity has no effect on the weights of the keys.
A -Yamaha digital pianos are set at A = 440 Hz. This instrument cannot go out of tune.
Therefore, regular maintenance such as tuning is not required.
A -In order to keep your piano in good condition, we recommend that you have it tuned and adjusted on a regular basis, once or twice a year. For a new piano in particular, the tuning is likely to change easily during the first year or two as it adapts to the environment in which it is kept. During that time, we recommend that you have it tuned twice a year.
